    FOAM ROLLING MONTHLY CLASS

    First Sunday of the Month
    11:00-12:00
    Amanda Chadwick

On the first Sunday of every month join Amanda Chadwick for a one hour long foam rolling class. Foam rolling or SMR is a technique using sustained pressure to specific body locations. The goal to release tension in restricted areas of connective tissue.

SMR allows areas to smooth out and return back to their original position for ease of movement, better performance, flexibility and recovery from daily and physical activity.

Bring your foam roller or borrow one of ours (first com first serve).

    Held in the BoxCoast studio

We look forward to rolling together!

  • Deep Release: A Hip Opening Workshop

DEEP RELEASE: A HIP OPENNING WORKSHOP

    Sunday, March 30th
    12:00-2:00

    Sara Kimball

The hip is a circular joint. Over-stretching or over-strengthening on just one side leads to imbalances, greater tension on other parts of the circle and even dysfunction. We all have regular patterns in our movement that might be consistently and continuously creating imbalances in the hips.

Allow this workshop to help you release those patterns. We'll review the anatomy of the five parts of the hips, and discuss how the vinyasa practice helps to strengthen and mobilize these five areas. Then we'll share a deliciously long flow together.

A balanced joint space is a moving target that allows for inner remodeling and repair.

We hope you can join us for this informative event!

  • SHOULDERS: RANGE & MOTION IN YOGA

SHOULDERS: RANGE & MOTION IN YOGA

    Sunday, June 1st
    12:00-2:00
    Sara Kimball

To get more range of motion, you have to work efficiently. Placement matters. In this workshop, we’ll investigate the various arm positions and shoulder blade relationships in common yoga poses.

We’ll learn how to build the proper strength and stabilization within the shoulder joint that ultimately allows for the greatest release of tension and range of motion. And we’ll have the time to go deeper into the lengthening of these muscles.
